Coming across this blogger, by doing a Google on Military Support Bush or Military Poll to find that Karl Rove is right, there are no links to (at least easily found) showing lack of military support for Bush. * But I did not find Rove's outlandish quote that "the troops get what they want and need". It seems that justifies what the administration says if they have the same sources and carefully navigate the intelligence.

On the other hand, I found some preemptive comments that may have played a role or seen the Rove role change coming or cause it. The latter first: Take it to Karl The former earlier: Karen Hughes: Karl Rove’s Kryptonite Oops, two years too early. Seen what coming or caused?

Bush should have been awoken much earlier, and we tried. Seriously, the guest comment, not that she is aware of my blog, hit a few points, Rove, the trooops/ Iraq, and Hillary with a few good links that I have yet to read, and will save comment for later. Suffice to say that it takes some filtering of the filter and there is more than fertilizer in them there hills, or links.

Oh heck I will touch on a few: Rove is a heck of a filter of fertilizer and the media as well. His comments on the troops, and his comment on Hillary, navigate though or pile on the fertilizer to some reality. And on "the surge", another cautious step through the piles of it.

* [posted and paused to continue: granted a little more search will find more, and in fact with my sources and rambling will probably stumble on me, but the point that I was going to make before I did undue diligence and tried to find some facts, is that polling the military may give a biased result based on two aspects, the filtering of their information and their freedom. Heck, I just threw in the Google as it was really a hit.

Pardon my vocabulary, but no more from the administration. Enough!

[11:19 AM my initial intrigue with the top link was due to my own spin on Rove, Hillary and Iraq/Troop intelligence, which I wove into my commentary but which may require more "hard work" either by the viewer or as my own reviewer. * * * CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK ! hehe * * * (now that is a hint)]]

Carry On Comment!

Borrowed from an AM1090 caller to one of the afternoon talk shows, the interesting dilemma of Karl Rove is his confessing apparently...

that he has no diary or record of his work with the administration.

This with his apparent plan to write a book, means...

either he has a very good memory or it will be in the fiction section.

Actually I just rearranged the caller's comment to my own taste in my usual way.

His point was that it takes "I don't recall" and all it's variations "off the table" when it comes to congressional investigations.
I would add
the only alternative
is straight to "the pen".

[Second thoughts on First Thoughts from First Read: There should NEVER be another Karl Rove. It is a cheap shot and a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy to promulgate such a character [italics and link added 8-15-07]by looking for the next one.

At least they admitted that "they" (the media) create them (the turd blossoms), but of course there will be, on the Right, as several of his (Rove's) proteges are distributed amongst the Republican candidates. But on The Left there is too much distribution of brains to get away with anything like what the administration has so far distributed. Genius should be about what works, and nothing much has, with this administration, except accumulation of ruin and power. * [it.a.l.a. 8-15-07]
Shame on MSNBC for such work. There is some good news on the new Hillary ad, but to follow with a piece on Rove? And while running the bottom line, "the next Karl Rove" under "her inner Bill".]

* [8-15-07 Re: David Frum link "and power", reminiscent of Lakoff where he points out that the difference between Democrats and Republicans is that the former run to govern, and the latter govern to run. That may say as much about governing as running, and as much about the left as the right, but rather than looking for a third way in the middle of any political spectrum, maybe the perspective [way to see it] is from above the plane, while a plane requires a third perspective that is not in line.]

Karl Rove vs. WA Hyperbole

Toll Keen anyone?

Ambassador Joe Wilson attended a Reject Rove Rally across from the Bellevue Hilton this evening. I will have some of his words later. I held a sign that read Unholy Trinity: Rob McKenna, Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers. For now Joel Connelley's words are enough.

Note: Ledership(journalist pun for headlines)
No apologies to the hyperbole. We don't mean to demonize, but we just can't forget.

Which will detract from the other so-called messengers of the convention.
So much of the convention were good performances, if you forget that governing does not go by a script.

What will happen.

It is hard to comment on the previous post but I will try to get back to it. But there will be more links added there, and it is encouraging that there will be investigations. Part of the problem of the previous post is reliable sources. Not the links I include but their sources and the contradictions that need to be waded through.
But Senator Leahy, says that when there are appearances on the hill, they will be under oath whether subpoenas are needed or the come in voluntarily. Meirs and Rove are on the list to appear but what will happen if they take the 5th? This is an area which I may speculate my not being a lawyer, but given that journalists seem to be speculating and see what that gets us, but...
1. congressional testimony may be different than regular court in dealing with administration officials
2. what if they are not officials (Rove)
3. what if they are lawyers [Meirs}

This is in the area of needing to find out and hoping to get back to you, but moving on would be just fine if there is progress in the investigations.

[3-19-07 later comments by leadership indicate subpoenas will be optional if they come in volunatarily, but being under oath will not be optional.]

Reaction to Preemption of Fear by Fear Itself.

FIRE KARL ROVE!*

He is a threat not only to Democracy but possibly our liberty and our lives.

Rove's words reflect the biggest difference between the administration, not conservatives, and Americans, all of them including liberals. That is, that for the administration's political purposes, war is not the last option. And if you want to unite us, knowing what you mean, and meaning what you say, should be your top priority for the sake of America and the world.

The whole policy of preempting fear by fear itself, must be ended!

If this is not the policy, you better check in on what Rumsfeld, Cheney and Rice are saying as well.

PEOPLE MUST SPEAK NOW! OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR WAR!

McCain camp sexist.

Sarcasm? (see video)
No- perfect rhetoric.
[If you can't stand the heat...]
I don't know about Sam Stein's comment, but Ed Schultz's callers thought Campbell Brown was being sarcastic? Could be, but that only misses who it is aimed at. Ed and I take it serious. Maybe I missed where Ed is lost, but the Palin selection is no Joke. The point is that sexism is their defense for their offense. It is great that she is a woman. But if she were a man, her policies would be the point where we would have issues. Meanwhile she (the Maverick) is being trained in the same old politics. Oops, now I have trampled into agism. But referenced back to training and issues should bring to mind Reagan not to mention Nixon handlers, by way of Bush and Rove.

Forget about Truman and his "get out of the kitchen" metaphor: they can't even stand the sarcasm, let alone the media.

Air America Radio 2.0

celebrates with a series of interviews of 35 national leaders.

I will celebrate with a portion of an email to a local leader.

Mission Possible Or "heckuva job".

Before I had even read this * (Don't Blame Bush, by Paul Krugman), the reference in the debate came to mind,(the Jack Bauer moment) where the Republicans jumped on the idea that things are solved "above the law" as in the show "24". Just after September 11th, Bush took a swipe at the "Hollywood types" suggesting that they be more helpful with their creativity and come up with some scenarios to fight terrorism. But they are so culturally illiterate that they must not even watch the old shows that were already "out there"(X-Files) not to mentiion, Mission Impossible, and miss the fact that they are not only fiction but they rely on the presumption of having the intelligence and continuing investigations. Or are they? They are probably some of the characters in those shows. Not only is Jack Bauer just another North or Liddy, but Cheney and Rove are no "Briggs and Phelps", let alone the idea that their cast of characters are limited by loyalty to ideology over talent or principles.

I have been busy with some business of my own, ( I will have to catch up on your email later) but have not let alone work in this area which I will send under separate cover, retitled "Mission Possible".
